New lets coming soon for Carse Industrial Estate 3rd phase
Following the success of the first two phases of redevelopment of Carse Industrial Estate in Inverness, The Highland Council has committed to the phase 3 expansion of the industrial estate.
A contract for the expansion was awarded to McGregor Construction in February 2018. Groundwork has commenced and the Council anticipates that sites for long ground leases be completed in Summer 2018.
Phases 1 and 2 have seen the creation of sites for ground leases as well as industrial units which are now leased to multiple businesses and achieved a 100% occupancy rate.
The phase 3 expansion will see the creation of 6 additional industrial sites ranging from 1,100 m2 to 1,700 m2 to the existing Carse Industrial Estate at Carsegate Road North. It will be the last phase of the Carse Industrial Estate seeing the completion of the Carse Industrial Estate masterplan.
It is one of the significant investments committed by the Highland Council this year to promote development in the City. In recent years, the lack of supply of industrial use sites has hindered the growth of businesses in Inverness and been an ongoing issue. The additional supply of industrial sites will help meet the shortage of industrial sites in Inverness and provide excellent opportunities for new and existing businesses.
Anyone interested in letting the soon-to-be-available sites are advised to register their interest with the property letting team by emailing property.letting@highland.gov.uk.
