​​​​​​​B851 part-day road closures

Motorists are being advised by The Highland Council that there will be part-day road closures of the B851 on the 3rd and 4th April from 9am to 3pm at Farr Primary School (south of Inverness). 

The two part-day road closures are required at Farr Primary School to carry out essential carriageway surfacing works.

This work is associated with the recently completed path connection to Farr Primary and is required to ensure safety for the public and workforce. 

The surfacing plant machinery and site constraints require a road closure to ensure safe working practices. 

A local diversion for light traffic only will be in place using the Brin – Dunlichity - Balnafoich Road, during these times. 

Advance notification signs advising the public of this closure have been erected today giving one week’s notice of the works.

Emergency vehicle access will be maintained and service buses will be managed through the works by the contractor.
