Head Teacher appointed at Charleston Academy
Gordon Stewart has been appointed by The Highland Council as Head Teacher of Charleston Academy in Inverness.
Mr Stewart takes up his post with immediate effect following his success at recent interviews.
Mr Stewart has been Acting Head Teacher at the school (which has over 735 pupils) since August 2017 prior to which he was Depute Head Teacher at Charleston since 2009.
His Principal Subjects were Religious Education and Philosophy which he previously taught at Peterhead Academy, Govan High in Glasgow and Dumbarton Academy.
Mr Stewart said: “I am delighted to have been appointed as Head Teacher of Charleston Academy. I look forward to working with school staff and parents to provide the best possible educational experience for all children attending Charleston.”
