Ward Forum for Skye
The next Eilean A’ Cheò Ward Forum will take place in Portree on the afternoon of Monday 25 June.
Members of the public are invited to come along to hear representatives from Police Scotland, Scottish Fire and Rescue and local Highland Councillors discuss a range of topical issues affecting the area, each followed by a question and answer session.
Chaired by Councillor John Finlayson, the Forum will start with a question and answer session with Police Scotland and the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service on local operations. This will be followed by updates from the Council’s Community Services team on the condition and maintenance of local roads and a session focussing on the areas’ public toilets and comfort schemes. The final topic, lead by the Council’s Development and Infrastructure team, will provide an update on statutory planning consultation, roles and responsibilities for community councils.
Councillor Finlayson hopes people take up this opportunity to come along. He said: “This is a great chance to find out from the council and our partners about priorities and the work taking place across the area. Everyone is welcome.”
The Forum takes place on the 25 June from 2pm to 4pm at Tigh Na Sgire. Any questions from the public relating to the topics being discussed should be emailed to willie.mackinnon@highland.gov.uk by Friday 15th June.
