‘Yes’ vote for Nairn Business Improvement District
DECLARATION OF RESULTS
Eligible voters in Nairn have voted on the proposal of the Nairn Connects Business Improvement District Steering Group to introduce a Business Improvement District (BID) for Nairn.
Ballot papers for the Nairn BID election were issued to 281 eligible voters on Thursday 21 June 2018 who voted over the past 8 weeks.
The count was held today Friday 17 August 2018 and the ‘Yes’ result declared by Steve Barron, Ballot Holder, The Highland Council and Independent Scrutineer, for the Electoral Reform Services, London.
- The electorate consisted of: 281 businesses
- The total votes cast were: 130
- The turnout (the headcount) was: 51.18 %
- The turnout by Rateable Value (A+B) was: 59.41 %
The votes cast were as follows:
YES – in favour of the Business Improvement District proposals for the areas within Nairn BID as specified on the Ballot Paper - 107
NO – not in favour of the Business Improvement District proposals for the areas within Nairn BID as specified on the Ballot Paper - 23
