Tributes paid to Lochardil Primary Teacher
The Highland Council has paid tribute to the sudden death of Mrs Alison Martin Hodgson, Primary 5 class Teacher at Lochardil Primary who died earlier this week in hospital.
Head Teacher, Audrey Kellacher said: “The whole school community is deeply saddened by Alison’s sudden passing. She was a dedicated, supportive and highly experienced teacher at Lochardil Primary for many years and she will be greatly missed by us all. We extend our deepest sympathies to Alison’s family.
“As a mark of respect we held a whole school minute’s silence on Wednesday, to remember the wonderful person and professional she was, and have been reflecting individually and collectively on the positive impact she has made on us all. Her memory will be cherished and legacy valued and continued in the school.”
Bill Alexander, Highland Council’s Director of Care and Learning added: “Mrs Martin Hodgson was a committed teacher at Lochardil Primary and she will be a great loss to the school and Highland Council. We extend our heartfelt condolences to her family for their sudden loss.”
The Council is providing support to staff and pupils at this difficult time.
