Falcon Square bus stop works – Inverness

Works to replace the existing bus shelter at Falcon Square in Inverness will start on Monday 5 November on behalf of HITRANS.

The three bays normally available to buses will be reduced to one throughout the works; therefore motorists and bus passengers are being advised that there may be unavoidable impacts on traffic movement.

To minimise congestion, passengers for the following services are asked to board at the bus station (at Farraline Park) for the duration of these works:

  • 10 (including 10A and X10) towards Aberdeen via Elgin;
  • 11 (including 11A, 11B, 11C, and 11U) towards Elgin via Nairn;
  • 34X towards Aviemore via Carrbridge;
  • 35 towards Newtonmore via Carrbridge.

It is expected that the removal of the existing shelter will be completed on the first day of the works, and the installation of the new shelter and associated ground works over a 2 week period. Efforts will be made to minimise disruption as much as possible.

Highland Council apologises for any inconvenience caused, but thanks passengers in advance for their cooperation.

Stagecoach will also have staff at Falcon Square for the first few days of the works to assist their passengers with any enquiries.
