Eastgate Inverness road closure update

Motorists are being reminded that Eastgate, Inverness, is currently temporarily closed to vehicles at its junction with Crown Road to its junction with Inglis Street.

The closure is in the interests of public safety during the demolition of the former Eastgate Hostel building. 

The Highland Council is advising drivers that the temporary restrictions will remain in place until Friday 22 March. 

The closure affects vehicular traffic, but pedestrian access will be maintained at all times. Access for emergency services’ vehicles and delivery vehicles will be at the discretion and by the instruction of the demolition works contractor.
