Final Phase of White Bridge works
The final phase of the project to provide a new crossing of the River Nairn at White Bridge is well underway with work about to start to connect the new bridge crossing with the realigned B9090 route.
To allow this work to be carried out safely The Highland Council is advising all road users that a temporary road closure will be in place on part of the B9090 Loch Flemington- Clephanton –Cawdor – Nairn Road, Nairn from 8.30am on Monday 6 May until 8am on Monday 27 May.
The area of the B9090 route affected is between its cross roads with the B9091 Croy – Clephanton – Kildrummie – Nairn Road in a south easterly direction for a distance of approximately 1280 metres.
All road users are being advised that between these dates a diversion will be in place so they should follow the diversion signs. These restricts apply to all vehicle drivers, cyclists and pedestrians.
The works for this £2.65m project began in September last year and are being carried out on behalf of the Highland Council by R J McLeods (Contractors) Ltd
A spokesman for the Council said: “We have been in close contact with the local community throughout the works and would like to thank everyone for their understanding and patience. We have tried to keep any disruption to a minimum and apologise for any disruption this final temporary road closure may have. We encourage everyone to follow the diversion signs and allow extra time for their journeys.”
