Council Seek Two New Strategic Directors
The Highland Council is seeking two new members of its senior management team – a Director of Education Culture and Sport and a Director of Housing and Property.
Both jobs carry a salary of £98,000.
The vacancy of Director of Education Culture and Sport has been created by the resignation of Bruce Robertson, who has been appointed as Director of Education and Recreation with Aberdeenshire Council.
The Council is merging its Housing and Property and Architectural Services and is seeking a Director to lead the new Service.
The closing date for applications is 5pm on Wednesday 21 February 2007. Interviews will be held on 22 and 23 March.
Education Culture and Sport Services has 7,518 employees and has an annual budget of £200 million – covering leisure, schools, libraries, sport, museums and arts, community learning and supporting families and young people.
The new Housing and Property Service will have a budget of £76 million and be responsible for 14,500 council houses and 3,850 individual properties. It will be responsible for housing policy, strategy and development, homelessness, property management, inspection and design.
