New Head teacher appointed for Gairloch High

The new Head Teacher of Gairloch High School is Mr Wim Chalmet.

Mr Chalmet is currently Depute Head Teacher at Golspie High School and will take up his new post after the summer holidays.

Cllr John Finlayson, Chair of The Highland Council’s Care, Learning and Housing Committee said: “I would like to take this opportunity on behalf of The Highland Council to send our congratulations to Mr Chalmet on his new appointment and to wish him every success in his new role.”

Mr Chalmet said: "I am delighted and feel very privileged to be appointed as Head Teacher of such a wonderful school. I look forward to meeting pupils, staff, parents and the wider community in my new role and continuing the journey to achieve the best education possible for our pupils, as well as the continued success of Gairloch High school."
