Could you change a future?

People who live in the Highlands are being asked “Could you #changeafuture?” as the local authority supports the national Foster Care Fortnight 2019 campaign which takes place from Monday 13 to Sunday 26 May.

Foster Care Fortnight™ is The Fostering Network's annual campaign to raise the profile of fostering. It is also the UK's biggest foster carer recruitment campaign.

Councillor Linda Munro, Chair of Highland Council’s Corporate Parenting Board said:

“Fostering is about changing futures - both the futures of children and young people and foster carers themselves.

“Think about the difference you could make in the life of a child or young person (or several children or young people) by becoming foster carers.

“We know from research that most people become foster carers because they want to make a positive impact on the lives of children, so we hope that #changeafuture will resonate with potential foster carers and encourage them to find out more.”
