City roads to close for parade
A number of roads in Inverness City Centre will be temporarily closed to all vehicles on Saturday (25 May) in the interests of public safety during the Birchwood Highland parade.
The roads affected on Saturday 25 May are as follows:
- Bught Road, Inverness, closed at its junction with Bught Avenue to its junction with Ness Walk Upper, between 10:50 hours and 11:10 hours.
- Ness Walk Upper, Inverness, closed at its junction with Bught Road to its junction with Ballifeary Lane, between 10:50 hours and 11:10 hours.
- Ness Walk Upper, Inverness, closed at its junction with Ballifeary Lane to its junction with Bishops Road, between 10:55 hours and 11:15 hours
- Bishops Road, Inverness, closed at its junction with Ness Walk Upper to its junction with Ardross Terrace, between 11:00 hours and 11:20 hours.
- Ardross Terrace, Inverness, closed at its junction with Bishops Road to its junction with Ness Walk, between 11:05 hours and 11:25 hours.
- Ness Walk, Inverness, closed at its junction with Ardross Terrace to its junction with Young Street, between 11:05 hours and 11:25 hours.
- Ness Bridge, Inverness, closed to eastbound traffic at its junction with Huntly Street to its junction with Bank Street, between 11:10 hours and 11:30 hours.
- Bridge Street, Inverness, closed at its junction with Bank Street to its junction with High Street, between 11:15 hours and 11:35 hours.
- High Street, Inverness, closed at its junction with Bridge Street to its junction with Inglis Street, between 11:20 hours and 11:40 hours.
- Inglis Street, Inverness, closed at its junction with High Street to its junction with Academy Street, between 11:20 hours and 11:45 hours.
- Academy Street, Inverness, closed at its junction with Inglis Street to its junction with Union Street, between 11:20 hours and 11:45 hours.
These temporary restrictions apply to all vehicles.
