Delays For Motorists During Gas Works

Scotland Gas Works are to carry out the replacement of existing gas main works on Culduthel Road and View Place, Inverness, commencing on Sunday18th February 2006. The works are to last for up to 4 weeks and are programmed in two phases.

On Sunday 18th February 2007 traffic will be controlled by three-way temporary traffic lights at the Castle Street/Culduthel Road/View Place Junction. There will be no restrictions on traffic movement but some delays for motorists are expected.

Phase two begins on Monday 26th February.  Traffic will be controlled by three-way temporary traffic lights at the Castle Street/Culduthel Road/View Place Junction. Restrictions will be in place on traffic wishing to enter View Place from Haugh Road and such traffic will be diverted along Castle Road. Traffic travelling from Castle Street or Culduthel Road onto View Place will be unaffected.

Some delays for motorists are expected.
