Deadline set for public comment on initial site proposals for new primary school at Ness Castle

Members of the public have until Friday, 28th June to make comments on the proposed new school at Ness Castle using this feedback form. The new school is scheduled to open in August 2021.

Residents living in the catchment area were recently invited to drop-in sessions that took place on Tuesday 11th June as the first part of a two-stage pre-application consultation on the planning development proposal.

The presentation boards that were on display at these sessions have now been uploaded to the Council website. These show the general concepts for the proposed development along with site location and site constraints information. A catchment map showing the catchment area for the new school has also been uploaded.

Comments received from this consultation may be incorporated into the design development. Further drop-in sessions will be held at a later date where site plans and building layouts will be displayed for public review and comment prior to submitting a planning application.

The initial site proposal documents are all available at the following link: https://www.highland.gov.uk/info/878/schools/845/school_estate_management/2
