New Head Teacher for Kingussie High School

A new head teacher has been appointed to Kingussie High School.  He is Mr John Tracey, currently Depute Head Teacher at Fortrose Academy, a post he has held since December 1997.

Prior to taking up a post with The Highland Council, Mr Tracey has held teaching posts in Kirriemuir, Tarbert (Argyll) and Greenock.  He has also held secondments in social subjects and in conservation education.

Mr Tracey will take up his post of the 405 pupil school on Monday 16 April 2007. He takes over from Mr Eddie Broadley who is now an Area Adviser with Learning and Teaching Scotland.

Mr Tracey said: “I am looking forward to working with the community of Kingussie High School, building on its successes and developing as a learning community. Being located in such a wonderful part of Scotland gives us many advantages. We must take full benefit of these while considering the future generations. We have a great deal to offer the world and we must be open to learning from other parts of the world.”
