Update on planned works to Dingwall Leisure Swimming Pool

Customers of Dingwall Leisure Centre Swimming Pool are being informed that the pool is closed until further notice due to extended works that were planned for the facility.

The Highland Council and High Life Highland apologises for this inconvenience. Arrangements have been made to inform customers of the closure and swimming lessons will continue at Alness Swimming Pool on Monday afternoons and evenings until further notice.

The Dingwall pool was closed on the 29th of July to allow works to commence. The works involve the replacement of ventilation ducts beneath the swimming pool with additional concrete repairs being undertaken at the same time to enhance the swimming pool area for users.

The planned works programme was extended to allow the encapsulation/seal of adjacent asbestos to provide safe environment for the contractors carrying out the planned works.

The Council once again apologies for the inconvenience and the pool will reopen as soon as all works are complete. Swimming Pool customers will be kept informed by High Life Highland.
