Notice of election published for City Ward By-election

The Notice of Election and nomination forms for the Inverness Central ward by-election have been published today (Thursday 26 September) on The Highland Council’s website.

The by-election is being held following the resignation of Richard Laird who was one of three Councillors representing Ward 14. The other Ward members are Councillors Janet Campbell (Independent) and Bet McAllister (Scottish Labour Party).

Nominations will close at 4pm on Monday 14 October 2019 and unless the by-election is uncontested, voting will take place on Thursday 14 November 2019.
