Temporary road closures in Inverness

Motorists are being advised by The Highland Council that two Inverness roads are to be temporarily closed on Friday 25th October and  Sunday 3rd November 2019 for public safety.

Planefield Road will be closed from 09:30 hours to 16:30 hours on Friday 25th October 2019 for public utility maintenance works by a contractor working on behalf of BT Openreach.

The closure will affect U4280 Planefield Road, Inverness, commencing at its junction with the U3881 Duncraig Street to its junction with the U3976 Fairfield Road.

Access will be maintained for emergency services and pedestrians.

On Sunday 3rd November 2019, Academy Street, Inverness will be closed from 7:30am to 7pm.

The closure is required to allow a mobile crane to sit on the public road during the removal of a tower crane from an adjacent construction site.

The closure will affect Academy Street (B865) commencing at its junction with the U4128 Margaret Street to its junction with Friars Lane (B862).
