Chaidh Club Gàidhlig às dèidh sgoile a stèidheachadh o chionn ghoirid ann am Bun-Sgoil a’ Phluic agus e a’ tabhann chleasan cruthachail anns a’ Ghàidhlig. Tha an Club Gàidhlig air a chumail dà uair sa mhìos air Dimàirt eadar 3:30–5:00f. Chaidh an Club a chur air bhonn le Sgioba na Gàidhlig aig Comhairle na Gàidhealtachd ann an com-pàirteachas le Bun-Sgoil a’ Phluic.

Thuirt a’ Bh-uas Sarah Mary a tha na Ceannard air a’ Chlub Ghàidhlig, “Bidh na sgoilearan ann am Foghlam tron Ghàidhlig a bhios a’ frithealadh Bun-Sgoil a’ Phluic a’ gabhail com-pàirt ann an cleasan ciùird tro mheadhan na Gàidhlig. Tha an Club a’ toirt cothrom dhan chloinn sgilean cruthachail a thogail agus tha tòrr spòrs aca le an co-aoisean cuideachd. Chan e a-mhàin gu bheil seo a’ neartachadh cho tric ’s a bhios iad a’ cleachdadh an cuid Gàidhlig, tha e cuideachd a’ meudachadh nan comasan aca gus an cànan ionnsachadh.”

Thuirt a’ Bh-uas Roslyn Hay, pàrant le clann a bhios a’ frithealadh a’ Chlub, “Mar phàrant le clann a tha a’ dol gu Bun-Sgoil a’ Phluic, faodaidh mi a ràdh gu bheil an Club seo air còrdadh glan ris na balaich agam. Tha e spòrsail, neo-fhoirmeil agus tha e air cuideachadh gus an taobh cruthachail aca a thoirt am bàrr, fhad ’s a tha cothrom aca na sgilean Gàidhlig aca a chleachdadh ann an suidheachadh eadar-dhealaichte.”

Club Gàidhlig (Gaelic Club) a creative after school club run in Gaelic was recently established at Plockton primary. The monthly Gaelic Club currently takes place out-with the school hours twice a month on Tuesdays between 3:30-5:00pm.

The Club has been set up by the Highland Council Gaelic Team in partnership with Plockton primary.

Ms Sarah Mary who is the Gaelic Club Leader said, “The Gaelic medium pupils from Plockton primary who attend the Gaelic club participate in crafting activities through the medium of Gaelic. Whilst gaining creative skills the children also have fun with their Gaelic medium peers and this also enhances their language usage as well as increasing their language learning ability.

Mrs Roslyn Hay, a parent whose children attend the Club said, “as a parent at Plockton primary whose children attend the Gaelic after school Club; My boys have really enjoyed this club. It’s fun, informal and has helped bring out their creative side whilst allowing them to use their Gaelic language skills in a different setting.”
