Ranger walk beats the winter blues

Highland Council’s Countryside Ranger Service is inviting locals to beat the winter blues and kick start the New Year by joining them on an invigorating walk at the Belladrum Estate, near Kiltarlity.

The walk takes place this weekend on Sunday 14th January, 2007 from 12noon till 3pm.

Mairi Nicolson, Countryside ranger for Inverness West said: “This is a lovely walk on good tracks and paths through the forest, climbing gently up onto the ridge which affords beautiful views over the Belladrum estate.  The estate is home to much wildlife and has many stories to tell from its history.”

This event is organised as part of The Highland Council’s Planning and Development Services countryside events programme.  This is suitable for individuals and family groups and is free to attend.  Booking is required.

To book a place or for further information please telephone 01463 710786.

The Highland Council Countryside Rangers are a partnership between The Highland Council and Scottish Natural Heritage with the aim of promoting public enjoyment and appreciation of the countryside and conserving wildlife.
