Call out for social workers in the Highlands
The Highland Council is recruiting a range of social worker posts across the Highlands.
The local authority is seeking ambitious and passionate professionals to keep the region's most vulnerable safe and build better lives for all Highland children and families.
Our communities are unique, and our stunningly diverse geography boasts city, towns, villages as well as truly remote locations that will inspire and invigorate. There are endless opportunities within the 26,484 square miles of the Highland Council area.
Health and Social Care is central to building sustainable, connected communities. Highland Council wants its communities to thrive in the Highlands and alongside our partners our ambition is to support and nurture success within families and children.
If you are dynamic and ambitious for positive change, with the belief that person-centred focus is key to ensuring that families get the right service at the right time, then this is a fantastic opportunity, and the Highland Council would love to hear from you.
Highland Council staff are the local authority's most valuable asset and it invests in them to excel in their role, mentoring and encouraging staff towards continued professional development, whether starting out in the field or coming as an experienced social worker. The Council offers an excellent employee benefit package and flexible working patterns including both full-time and part-time opportunities are available. A relocation package may be available - further information.
You will have a Social Work Degree or appropriate alternative qualification. This post is considered Regulated Work with Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme, or undergo a PVG Scheme update check, prior to a formal offer of employment being made by Highland Council.
