Medieval Pageant At Inverness Museum And Art Gallery

On Monday 1 August let Inverness Museum and Art Gallery transport you back in time during a Medieval Pageant to celebrate the opening of the new Medieval Gallery.

Why not come along and meet a knight and his companions. There will be lots to do, from beating your own coin to trying out calligraphy, learning a medieval board game to listening to some medieval music.

Inside the museum you will also be able to see a display of beautiful and bright banners made by primary pupils from throughout the Highlands, which will set the scene for the pageant. They were made in collaboration with local silk painter Heather Butlin and were inspired by ‘medieval’ objects and images supplied by Inverness Museum.

This family event will run from 1pm – 3pm and is free for all the family.
