Highland Council welcomes three Head Teacher appointments

Highland Council is pleased to announce the appointments of three Head Teachers at primary schools in the Inverness, Nairnshire, and Badenoch and Strathspey areas. 

The Head Teacher appointments are:

• Kirsty MacVicar is Head Teacher at Bun-Sgoil Ghàidhlig Inbhir Nis
• Sara Riach is Head Teacher at Alvie Primary School
• James Cook is Head Teacher at Cawdor Primary School

Kirsty and Sara, currently working as Acting Head Teacher at their respective schools, will take the post permanently with immediate effect.

James is currently working as an Education Support Officer in Moray Council and is due to start in late October 2020.

Executive Chief Officer for Education and Learning, Nicky Grant, said: “I would like to congratulate each of our new Head Teachers on their appointments. It is fantastic that we can continue working with two individuals who are already established within their school and both myself, and the Cawdor community, look forward to welcoming their new Head Teacher to the area.”
