Highland Council to consult on Tain Common Good land.
The Highland Council is today (10 November 2020) launching a Common Good consultation giving the Tain community until 19 January 2021 to respond to a proposal to change the use of the Wildlife Pond Kiosk on Tain Links from storage use to a café providing food and beverages.
The Council is keen to hear the community’s views on the proposal and all submissions will be given full regard before a decision on whether, and how, to proceed is made. Consultation representations, responses and any final decision will be published on the Council’s website.
The period provided for this public consultation is longer than the statutory required 8-week period due to the proximity of the festive period and current Covid-19 restrictions.
The consultation will close on 19 January 2021.
