Update On Legionnaires’ Disease
NHS Highland and Highland Council’s Environmental Health Service are investigating a fourth case of Legionnaires’ Disease.
The patient is an elderly man who visited Strathpeffer in June. However there do not appear to be any links between him and the other three cases. We are continuing to investigate where he could have acquired the infection including the possibility that he contracted the illness before arriving in Strathpeffer.
The man is in Royal Alexandria Hospital, Paisley.
He and the three other patients are improving.
