Barmy for Badgers

Are you barmy for Badgers?  Would you like the chance to watch them up close in their natural environment?

The Highland Council Countryside Rangers are holding a special event on Wednesday 18th July that should prove to be a Badger bonanza for anyone coming along.

Highland Council Countryside Ranger Saranne Bish said: “Being nocturnal Badgers are not easy animals to see well and yet they are one of our most easily recognisable wild mammals.  They are fascinating creatures with an interesting ecology and seriously funny to watch.  We may even see other creatures too!”

Anyone who would like to come along to this free event should book their places in advance as numbers are very limited.  Details of the location will be given on the confirmation of booking so contact Saranne Bish on 01479 873914.

This event is part of a programme of guided walks and events organised by Highland Council’s Countryside Rangers throughout the Highlands. Copies of the programmes can be found on the Council’s website or by telephoning: 01479 873914.

The Highland Council Countryside Rangers are a partnership between The Highland Council and Scottish Natural Heritage with the aim of promoting public enjoyment and appreciation of the countryside and conserving wildlife.
