Temporary closure on Highland Council roads in Conon Bridge and Maryburgh planned to commence in January 2021

Leanaig Road - Conon Bridge - Temporary Closure

Gas connection works will commence on Leanaig Road - Conon Bridge on 5 January 2021 at 08:00. 

The works will affect the B9162 Leanaig Road commencing at its junction with A862 High Street Conon Bridge and extending eastwards to its junction with Top Street.

Temporary traffic management will be in place and an alternative route for traffic will be available via A862 –B9163 School Road and this will be signed.

Local, pedestrian and emergency vehicle access will be maintained at all times.

Closure will be in place on Tuesday 5 January 2021 from 08:00 and will remain in place until Tuesday 12 January 2021 – 17:00.

Hood Street- Maryburgh – Temporary Closure

Sewer connection works will commence on Hood Street Maryburgh on Monday 18 January 2021 at 08:00.

The works will affect the U3054 Hood Street Maryburgh commencing at the entrance to the property known as Pier Tree Cottage and extending north eastwards for a total distance of 100metres or thereby.

Temporary traffic management will be in place and an alternative route will be available via A862 Proby Street-Seaforth Place and this will be signed.

Local, pedestrian and emergency vehicle access will be maintained at all times.

Closure will be in place on Monday 18 January 2021 from 08:00 and will remain in place until Wednesday 27 January 2021– 17:00.

Both road closures are to allow contractors to work safely whilst carrying out new sewer and gas connections.  The Council hopes that any disruption will be kept to an absolute minimum.
