Aird and Loch Ness By-Election Result

The by-election to elect a councillor to represent the Aird and Loch Ness Ward on The Highland Council has been won by David Fraser (Independent) who was one of six candidates who contested the vacancy.
Voting was by the single transferable vote and David Fraser emerged as the winner at the 6th stage of the count.
The turnout was 35.1%%.
They join Councillors Helen Carmichael (Independent), Margaret Davidson (Independent) and Emma Knox (Scottish National Party) in representing Ward 12 on The Highland Council.
