Temporary overnight road closure – A861 Lochailort - Kinlochmoidart

Motorists are being advised by The Highland Council that there will be a temporary overnight closure on the A861 Lochailort – Kinlochmoidart which will come into operation at 21.00 on Monday 10 May 2021 and will remain in effect until 06.00 on Saturday 15 May 2021. 

The closure is to allow contractors (Markon) working on behalf of The Highland Council, to install road studs in the centre of the road from the A830/A861 junction at Lochailort to the end of the double track at Kinlochmoidart. 

Access will be maintained for emergency service vehicles.

The Highland Council will be using a full road closure, with amnesties on the hour and half hour each evening between 21:00 and 06:00. Motorists are encouraged to arrive in good time to ensure they are accommodated within the amnesty period.
