Comhairle na Gàidhealtachd a’ cur a-mach gairm airson oidean Gàidhlig
Tha Comhairle na Gàidhealtachd a’ sireadh oidean ùra Gàidhlig pàirt-ùine, le ùidh ann a bhith a’ lìbhrigeadh chlasaichean sa choimhearsnachd agus air-loidhne, do dh’inbhich a tha ag ionnsachadh na Gàidhlig.
Tha Sabhal Mòr Ostaig, ann an co-bhann le MG Alba, a’ leasachadh cùrsa ùr ‘SpeakGaelic’ a bhios a’ tòiseachadh san Fhoghar 2021. Tha Comhairle na Gàidhealtachd a’ sireadh thagraichean a bhiodh airson trèanadh a ghabhail os làimh airson an cùrsa ùr a lìbhrigeadh.

Thuirt an Comhairliche Calum Rothach, Cathraiche Comataidh Gàidhlig Chomhairle na Gàidhealtachd, “Tha an cùrsa ùr ionnsachadh Gàidhlig ‘SpeakGaelic’ a’ toirt cothrom do dh’oidean Gàidhlig cosnadh fhaighinn agus cuideachd cothrom air trèanadh fìor mhath ann an oideachadh Gàidhlig a tha a’ freagairt air an ùidh a th’ ann air feadh an t-saoghail a’ Ghàidhlig ionnsachadh.” Lean e air adhart, “Tha e cudromach toirt fa-near gun urrainn do dh’oidean obrachadh bho chofhurtachd an dachaighean fhèin, co-dhiù is ann an Cille Mhoire no Kelso”.

The Highland Council sends out call for Gaelic tutors
The Highland Council are seeking new part-time Gaelic tutors interested in delivering both community-based, and online classes for adult Gaelic learners.
With the launch of the new course "SpeakGaelic" which is presently being developed by Sabhal Mòr Ostaig in partnership with MG Alba, which is due to begin in Autumn 2021, Highland Council are seeking applicants who would be keen to undergo training in order to be ready to deliver the new course.
The posts are presently being advertised on the myjobscotland website.
Cllr Calum Munro Chair of the Highland Council Gaelic Committee said, “The new Gaelic learning course ‘Speak Gaelic’ provides an opportunity for Gaelic tutors to gain employment and also an opportunity to receive quality Gaelic tutor training which reflects the world-wide current interest in learning Gaelic”. He continued, “It is also important to highlight that tutors can work from the comfort of their homes whither in Kilmuir or Kelso”.
