Temporary road closures - Easter Ross
Motorists are being advised by The Highland Council that there will be three temporary road closures on Easter Ross roads in August at the B9176 near Alness/Adross; Shore Street, Hilton, Tain; and Munro Street, Invergordon.
- B9176
A section of the B9176 between the A9 and Ardross will be closed to allow contractors to work safely while carrying out road surfacing works. The closure will be from 08:00 on Monday 16 August until 17:00 on Wednesday 18 August 2021.
The closure will affect the B9176 Novar Toll - Ardross - Aultnamain - Mid Fearn Road commencing at its junction with the U1990 Contllich - Boath Road and extending northwards to its junction with the C1016 Alness - Achandunie Road for a total distance of 2250 metres.
An alternative route for vehicular traffic will be available via the A9 - A836 and this will be signed. Local resident access will be maintained at all times.
- Shore Street, Hilton, Tain
To allow Scottish Water contractors to work safely while carrying out repairs to the sewer, part of Shore Street, Hilton, Tain will be closed from 08:00 on Tuesday 17 August until 18:00 on Monday 23 August 2021.
The closure will affect the section of the road from the south gable of Number 10 Shore Street extending southwards for around 25 metres.
Vehicle access and egress from premises which are situated adjacent to or only accessible from the road will be maintained. A vehicle diversion via Back Street will be signed.
- Munro Street, Invergordon
To allow British Telecom contractors to work safely while carrying repair works to a manhole a 65 metre section of Munro Street, Invergordon from its junction with Joss Street southwards to the junction with High Street Invergordon will be closed from 08:00 on Wednesday 18 August until 17:00 on the same day.
A diversion will be available High Street - Castle Road - Joss Street and this will be signed. Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.
