New Depute Provost and Depute Leader of Inverness and Area appointed

Councillor Carolyn Caddick, Highland Council Ward Member for Inverness South has been appointed as Depute Provost and Depute Leader of Inverness and Area.

Members of the City of Inverness Area Committee appointed Cllr Caddick at a meeting of the committee today on 26 August 2021.

Cllr Caddick will provide a supporting role to the Provost and Leader of Inverness and Area, Cllr Helen Carmichael who congratulated Cllr Caddick on her appointment.

The new Depute Provost and Depute City Leader, Cllr Caddick said: “It is an honour and a huge privilege to serve the people of the Inverness Area as Depute City Leader and Provost and I look forward to supporting the Provost over the next few months in these difficult times as the Inverness City and Area continues to recover from the challenges of the pandemic. There are many challenges but also lots of opportunities as we move forward.”
