New Caithness Area Committee Chair appointed

The new chair of the Caithness Area Committee is Councillor Raymond Bremner who represents the Wick and East Caithness Ward of The Highland Council.

He was elected when the Committee met today, Wednesday 3 November.  He will be supported by two deputes - Councillor Willie Mackay representing Ward 3 and Councillor Struan Mackie, for Ward 2.

Speaking after the meeting he said: "I would like to thank my Ward colleagues for their support and it's a great privilege to serve the people of Caithness.  We are committeed to the important matters of our Caithness community and working hard to try and deliver the priorities of the area."
