Community Ballot - North Kessock Bottle Banks Result

The result of a community ballot on the location of bottle banks in North Kessock has been declared following a count held today (1 March 2022) at The Highland Council’s headquarters in Inverness.

The community ballot result is that (Option B) North Kessock main car park is the preferred location for the Bottle Banks in North Kessock.

Linda Johnstone, Depute Returning Officer at the North Kessock Bottle Banks Community Ballot, declared that the total number of votes allocated to each option was as follows:

•    (A) Ferry Brae 288
•    (B) North Kessock main car park 586

The electorate was 1,446; with total number of postal votes returned 874; return percentage 60.4%;  zero rejected ballot papers; and total valid votes 874.

The Council will now implement the outcome of this democratic community ballot on the location of bottle banks in North Kessock.
