Temporary closure on B869 Lochinver - Drumbeg - Newton Road
There will be a temporary prohibition of traffic on the B869 Lochinver - Drumbeg - Newton Road later this month.
The lengths of road affected include the B869 Lochinver – Drumbeg – Newton Road, which will be closed from its junction with A894 Loch Assynt - Laxford Road to its junction with A836 Invershin – Lochinver Road.
To minimise disruption the works are planned to run in sections:
- From the B869’s junction with the A894 to its junction with U1135 Poldarroch Road, in Drumbeg, from 14 March to 25 March 2022.
- From the B869’s junction with U1135 Poldarroch Road, in Drumbeg to its junction with U1091 Stoer Church Road, from 21 March to 1 April 2022.
- From the B869’s junction with U1091 Stoer Church Road to its junction with the A836, from 28 March to 8 April 2022.
To avoid the road closure an alternative route will be available via the A894 Loch Assynt - Laxford Road and the A836 Invershin – Lochinver Road.
The different colours on the map are important as the council will be closing the road in sections to minimise disruption.
