Roadworks on City roundabout

Motorists are being advised by The Highland Council that road works will commence today Monday 12th March, 2007 near Inshes roundabout in Inverness.

Improvements will be carried out to the B9006 (Westhill to Inverness) approach to Inshes Roundabout with the contractor Tulloch Civil Engineering Ltd., commencing works today. The works are expected to last for up to 3 weeks.

The reason for the works are to improve the approach to Inshes roundabout from Westhill by extending the 3-lane approach to the roundabout back to the fly-over across the A9 and thus allowing more vehicles to gain access onto the roundabout in the future.

During the works, two-way traffic flow will be maintained but tail backs are likely on the approach to Inshes Roundabout, and this may result in some delays for traffic, particularly at peak times.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time for their journeys or to take the bus or cycle or to seek alternative routes.
