Moladh ga dhèanamh air Sgoil-àraich san Eilean Sgitheanach
Chaidh moladh mòr a dhèanamh air an Sgoil-àraich aig Bun-Sgoil Ghàidhlig Phort Rìgh às dèidh tadhal gun rabhadh bho Choimisean a’ Chùraim as t-earrach.
Thuirt a’ Bh-uas Guidi, Ceannard Bun-Sgoil Ghàidhlig Phort Rìgh: “Tha mi fìor thoilichte innse, às dèidh tadhal gun rabhadh bho Choimisean a’ Chùraim sa Mhàrt, gun deach an aithisg aca fhoillseachadh. Rinn iad measadh oirnn air a dhà de na h-Inbhean Cùraim aca agus chaidh duaisean Fìor Mhath a bhuileachadh oirnn airson na dhà: Càileachd Cùraim is Taic 5 – Fìor Mhath; agus Càileachd Stiùiridh is Ceannardais 5 – Fìor Mhath.
“Dh’innis an aithisg: “Chaidh an dà chuid càileachd a’ chùraim is na taic agus càileachd an stiùiridh is a’ cheannardais a mheasadh mar fìor mhath. Cho-dhùin sinn gun robh neartan mòra an lùib a bhith a’ cur taic ri deagh thoraidhean dhan chloinn. Bha a’ chlann uile fìor thoilichte, suidhichte is saorsainneil tron ùine aca san sgoil-àraich. Bha an luchd-obrach a’ sealltainn blàths is cùram riutha is gan altraim le bhith a’ cur taic ris na feumalachdan cùraim aca. Bha luchd-obrach a’ tabhann chudailean is cofhurtachd nuair a bha feum orra, agus bha seo a’ toirt misneachd dhan chloinn. Bha seo a’ cur taic ris a’ chloinn gu bhith a’ faireachdainn sàbhailte is tèarainte tron ùine aca aig an t-seirbheis.”
Chrìochnaich a’ Bh-uas Guidi le bhith ag ràdh: “Bu mhath leam taing a thoirt gu pearsanta dha na pàrantan uile a tha cho co-fhreagrach is cho taiceil do na tha sinn a’ dèanamh, agus dhan chloinn shnoga airson a bhith cho laghach ris an luchd-sgrùdaidh air an latha agus airson a bhith nan daoine beaga sgoinneil. Tha taing mhòr a’ dol gu luchd-obrach na Sgoil-àraich a tha a’ cur taic ri obair na Sgoil-àraich agus a tha a’ dèanamh cinnteach gu bheil a’ chlann toilichte is trang. Bu mhath leam an cothrom seo a ghabhail cuideachd taing a thoirt dhan Bh-uas Shona NicDhòmhnaill, Iar-Cheannard Eadar-amail, a bhios a’ stiùireadh na Sgoil-àraich.”
Praise for Skye Sgoil-àraich
The Sgoil-àraich at Bun-Sgoil Ghàidhlig Phort Rìgh has been highly praised following an unannounced visit from the Care Inspectorate in the Spring.
Mrs Guidi, Headteacher at Bun-Sgoil Ghàidhlig Phort Rìgh said: “I am delighted to announce, following on from an unannounced visit from the Care Inspectorate in March their report has just been published. They assessed us on two of their Care Standards and we were awarded grades of Very Good for both; Quality of care and support 5 – Very Good and Quality of management and leadership 5 – Very Good.
The report stated: “The quality of care and support and management and leadership have both been evaluated as very good. We found that there were major strengths in supporting positive outcomes for children. The children were all very happy, settled and relaxed during their time in the nursery. They experienced warm, caring and nurturing interactions from staff who supported their care needs. Staff offered comfort and cuddles when needed, which gave the children reassurance. This supported children to feel safe and secure during their time at the service.”
Mrs Guidi concluded by saying: “I would personally like to thank all parents who are so responsive and supportive of all we do and the lovely children for charming the inspectors on the day and being super little people to work with. A huge thank you goes to our Sgoil Àraich staff who support the work of Sgoil Àraich and who put so much into making sure the children are happy and busy. I also wish to take this opportunity to also thank Mrs Shona Macdonald, Acting Deputy Head Teacher who manages the Sgoil Àraich.”
