Cairngorms National Park Authority Elections

Five community representatives have been elected to serve on the board of Cairngorms National Park Authority for the next four years.

Geva Blackett, Clunie Cottage, Invercauld, Braemar, was returned unopposed to serve Aberdeenshire/Angus.

Following elections by postal vote counted electronically at Kingussie tonight, these candidates were chosen to serve on the remaining four areas: -

Highland 1:  Andrew Gordon Rafferty, Invertruim House, Newtonmore;

Highland 2:  William Mckenna, 3 Dellmhor, Aviemore

Highland 3:  Mary McCafferty, Cruitiain, 4 Skye of Curr, Dulnain Bridge

Aberdeenshire/Moray:  Eleanor Mackintosh, Tomnabrechachie Farm, Glenlivet, Ballindalloch

Mr Rafferty, Mr Mckenna and Ms Mackintosh are re-elected to the board.

The average turn out at the four elections was 49.15%.
