Deadline approaches for Interim Community Council nominations to be submitted
The Highland Council is reminding anyone interested in standing to represent their local community in the Interim Community Council elections that there is now less than a week to get their applications in.
This is the last opportunity in 2022 for 8 Highland Community Councils to form.
Completed nomination forms must be submitted in person or by email to the appropriate Ward Manager detailed in the notice of election which is published on the Highland Councils website before 12 noon on Monday 10 October.
The 8 Community Councils that are looking to form are:
Acharacle Community Council – max membership 8 – vacancies 5
Boat of Garten Community Council – max membership 7 – vacancies 4
Conon Bridge Community Council – max membership 8 – vacancies 6
Cradlehall and Westhill Community Council – max membership 12 – vacancies 7
Culloden Community Council – max membership 9 – vacancies 6
East Nairnshire Community Council – max membership 8 – vacancies 8
Melvich Community Council - max membership 8 – vacancies 5
Shieldaig Community Council – max membership 8 – vacancies 8
