Thurso High School - 1960’s extension block condition concerns

Following on from a routine site inspection, Structural Engineers identified potential concerns in relation to the condition of the concrete frame in the 3 storey, 1960s extension block.

The recommendation from the Structural Engineers is to close the 3 storey block until further assessment is carried out.

Alternative arrangements are being made to accommodate the affected classrooms and discussions are ongoing with the Headteacher in this regard.

The rest of the school campus remains operational.
