Sandown Lands, Nairn – Arable Lease 2023
The Nairn Common Good Fund (NCGF) is seeking a new commercial tenant for fields located at Sandown Lands, which lies to the West of Nairn, from January 2023.
This land is being offered as a seasonal arable let on the land at Sandown and extends to approximately 32.8 ha (81 acres).
The land is owned by the Nairn Common Good Fund which is managed by the Highland Council and is available from 15 January 2023 to 1 November 2023.
The land has been cropped in Spring Barley for a number of years.
Please note that there is no BPS entitlements let with the land, however, the successful tenant may enter the details of the cropped area on their Single Application Form and use it to make a claim for Basic Payment.
The Scottish Agricultural College will manage the application process on behalf of the NCGF.

The deadline for offers is Friday, 18 November 2022 at 12 noon.
SAC will inform applicants if their bid has been successful week commencing 21 November 2022.
If the successful bidder manages the land appropriately in 2023 and abides by the terms of the lease, it is likely that they will be asked in the future to lease the land at Sandown on a seasonal basis. This is likely continue on a seasonal basis for 4 years.
Please note, however, that the availability of the land at Sandown can only be guaranteed for one season at a time.
