Council Chair thanks Lochaber Chamber of Commerce following “very positive meeting”

The Highland Council’s Chair of the Economy and Infrastructure Committee, Cllr Ken Gowans has expressed his thanks to the Lochaber Chamber of Commerce for inviting him, Chief Executive Kate Lackie and Executive Chief Officer for Infrastructure, Environment and Economy Tracey Urry to join members at their Premium Business Club Meeting held on Thursday morning.

Councillor Ken Gowans said: “I want to thank the Chamber of Commerce for their invitation. It was great to have the chance to meet face to face and to find out more about the work happening on the ground. With the focus on business opportunities, we discussed creating stronger links and involving businesses more in planning for the future.

“It was a very positive meeting and a good way to hear views directly from businesses. Sessions like this are certainly very worthwhile and we look forward to working together to explore new ways we can support local businesses and working closely to ensure Lochaber is well placed to make the best of all opportunities.”

Frazer Coupland, CEO Lochaber Chamber of Commerce said: “I would like to take this opportunity to thank both Cllr Gowans and Kate Lackie for attending. Their insights and expertise were highly appreciated and were instrumental in making the event a  great success. Their presence and active participation have demonstrated the Council’s commitment to supporting the local business community, and we are grateful for their continued support.
