Inverness Medal recognition for Jackie Sutherland
Inverness Provost Glynis Campbell Sinclair has presented Jackie Sutherland with the Inverness Medal in recognition of his lifetime of service to youth football, the BBs and local charities.
Provost Campbell Sinclair made the presentation at half time in the SPFL Championship league opener at Caledonian Stadium on Saturday (5 August) between Inverness Caledonian Thistle and Queens Park.
She paid handsome tribute to the lifetime of volunteering by Mr Sutherland, who remains active with Inverness Street League.
Over seven decades, Jackie has played a key role in producing a conveyor belt of local talent for both Caledonian and Inverness Caledonian Thistle. Away from football, Jackie has devoted a lot of his time to the Boys Brigade, being a boy and officer for over six decades, including serving as Captain of the 7th Queen Street Brigade. He also was a voluntary driver for SNAP, a local club for handicapped children.
