Comhairle na Gàidhealtachd a’ guidhe soirbheachas do dh’Fhèis Bhlas 2023
Tha Comhairle na Gàidhealtachd airson deagh dhùrachd a chur chun a h-uile duine a tha a’ gabhail pàirt ann am Fèis Bhlas.
Tha Fèis Bhlas 2023 a’ tabhann taghadh air leth de luchd-ealain, le prògram loma-làn chèilidhean is chonsairtean beò air feadh na Gàidhealtachd. Tha prògram air-loidhne ann cuideachd le tachartasan air an sruthadh beò, bùithtean-obrach, agus seiseanan òrain Ghàidhlig dhaibhsan nach urrainn a bhith an làthair gu pearsanta.
Thuirt an Comhairliche Calum Rothach, Cathraiche Comataidh na Gàidhlig, Comhairle na Gàidhealtachd: “Tha Fèis Bhlas a-nis stèidhichte mar phàirt bhliadhnail de mhìosachan na Gàidhlig is a’ chultair - is e seo an 18mh Fèis Bhlas agus tha i air sìor-fhàs - tha clann an luchd-ealain agus nam com-pàirtichean bhon chiad fhèis a-nis a’ gabhail pàirt san fhèis làithrich. Tha i na deagh thaisbeanadh den cheòl thraidiseanta Ghàidhlig as fheàrr. Tha tachartasan Fèis Bhlas a’ tachairt ann an sgìrean is coimhearsnachdan air feadh na Gàidhealtachd bhon Chomraich gu Luirg agus bho Inbhir Nis gu Àth Tharracail.”

Highland Council wish the Blas Festival 2023 every success
The Highland Council would like to extend their best wishes to all those taking and part and attending the Blas Festival.
Blas Festival 2023 offers an exceptional line-up, packed with a programme of live cèilidhs and concerts taking place across the Highlands. There is also an online programme with live-streamed events, workshops, and Gaelic song sessions for those unable to attend in person.
Cllr Calum Munro Chair of Highland Council Gaelic Committee said: “Blas Festival has now become annual feature on the Gaelic and cultural calendar, this is the 18th Blas Festival, and it has grown exponentially, and children of artists and participants of the initial festival are now performing in the current festival. It provides a real show case of the best of Gaelic traditional music. There are Blas Festival events in areas and communities across the Highlands from Applecross to Lairg and Inverness to Acharacle.
Cllr Munro continued, “The participants and the celebrations of Blas range from 8 years to 80 and beyond, as the Blas Festival celebrates individuals who have made, and continue to make, a huge contribution to Gaelic and traditional music.
Come along and experience, enjoy and engage with excellent authentic traditional music, there are opportunities to view online events and concerts.”
