Highland winter road conditions report - Friday 10 November 2023
The information provided is a summary of reports from operational staff and is intended to give a general indication of typical conditions in each area at a point in time. It is not intended to imply that any individual route is entirely snow and ice free and drivers must be aware that conditions can change rapidly and make their own assessment of conditions for travelling.

Road condition reports for Friday, 10 November 2023 are as follows:
Wester Ross (07:13) – negative road surface temperatures overnight across the area. Temperature due to rise above zero this morning, however care should be taken, particularly on the side and back roads. Treatment is ongoing. No reported overnight issues.
Skye and Raasay (08:17) - road surface temperatures at or below zero with pockets of frost. Primary & Secondary Routes treatment ongoing as required.
Inverness (06:01) - Primary and Secondary routes treated, frost in areas. No overnight issues to report.
Nairn (07:20) - negative temperatures throughout the area this morning. Primary and Secondary routes being treated. No known overnight issues.
Badenoch and Strathspey (07:21) - negative temps throughout the area. Primary and Secondary routes being treated. No known overnight issues.
Lochaber (08:01) – negative road surface temperatures this morning throughout the area, routes being treated. No overnight issues to report.
Ross and Cromarty East (06:11) - Primary and Secondary routes treated, frost in areas. No overnight issues to report.
Caithness (08:23) – Mainly dry damp roads. Frost in areas. Primary and secondary routes treated. No overnight issues to report.
Sutherland (09:35) – Primary and Secondary routes treated including footpaths, frost in areas. No overnight issues to report.
