Highland Road Conditions Report – 27 November 2023
The information provided is a summary of reports from operational staff and is intended to give a general indication of typical conditions in each area at a point in time. It is not intended to imply that any individual route is entirely snow and ice free and drivers must be aware that conditions can change rapidly and make their own assessment of conditions for travelling.

Road condition reports for Monday 27 November 2023 are as follows:
Wester Ross:
10:58am: Low temperatures overnight with some preparation on the main weekend routes. Some side roads which had patches of ice in sheltered spots over the weekend have now been treated.
Skye & Raasay:
8:41am: Treating Primary & Secondary Routes in South Skye this morning where road temperatures fell away through the night and remain below this morning. No action in North Skye where road surfaces generally higher and residual salt.
Lochaber:
7:36am: Majority of routes treated. Higher temperatures reported than initially forecast. Drizzle and high cloud cover setting in.
Inverness:
6:37am: Mainly wet roads this morning with some low roadside temperatures. Gritting some of the higher routes (Tomatin, Beauly, Culnakirk).
Badenoch & Strathspey:
6:17am: Heavy rain with positive temperatures throughout the area. Winter drivers stood down.
Nairn:
6:17am: Heavy rain and positive temperatures this morning. No winter action needed.
Easter Ross:
9:27am: No gritting required this morning. Positive temperatures.
