Highland Road Conditions Report – Tuesday 28 November 2023
The information provided is a summary of reports from operational staff and is intended to give a general indication of typical conditions in each area at a point in time. It is not intended to imply that any individual route is entirely snow and ice free and drivers must be aware that conditions can change rapidly and make their own assessment of conditions for travelling.

Road conditions reports for Tuesday 28 November 2023 are as follows:
Wester Ross:
1:08pm: All routes treated. No issues
Caithness:
7.53am: Low temperatures but staying just above freezing. Teams treating some routes as a precaution. No other issues.
Skye & Raasay:
8:46am: Road temperatures dropping to -2.4C this morning. Some light frosts reported on some routes. Roads mostly dry. Treatments running on secondary and other problematic steep routes. No overnight issues.
Lochaber:
7.43am: Wet and dry roads with negative road side temperatures. Primary and Secondary routes being treated. No overnight issues.
Inverness:
6:13am: Wet roads this morning with road side temperatures set to drop. Treating Primary and Secondary routes.
Badenoch & Strathspey:
6:26am: Wet roads with negative road side temperatures. Primary and Secondary routes being treated. No overnight issues.
Nairn:
6:34am: Wet roads with higher air temperatures than expected. Primary and Secondary routes being treated this morning. No issues overnight.
Easter Ross:
7:57am: Temperatures higher than forecast this morning with damp roads. All routes being treated ahead of predicted low temperatures this evening. No known issues overnight.
