Highland Road Conditions Report – Monday, 11 December 2023
The information provided is a summary of reports from operational staff and is intended to give a general indication of typical conditions in each area at a point in time. It is not intended to imply that any individual route is entirely snow and ice free and drivers must be aware that conditions can change rapidly and make their own assessment of conditions for travelling.

Highland Road Conditions Report for Monday, 11 December 2023 are as follows:
Skye and Raasay
08:18 – Road surface temperatures are colder than forecast in the North Skye area with pockets of light frost in the coldest spots. Primary routes have been treated and no known overnight issues.
Sutherland
07:55 – A Gritter has been deployed to treat as necessary on the B873 Strathnaver road which is reported to be icy in places. No other known problems in the area with road surface temperatures higher than forecast.
Wester Ross, Strathpeffer and Lochalsh
06:26 – Road surface temperatures are colder than forecast. Checks and treatments are taking place and no known overnight issues.
Other areas
Before 9am – Reports noted that roads were damp but there were no winter issues or treatment needed in the Easter Ross, Nairn, Badenoch and Strathspey, Caithness, and Inverness areas.
