Highland Road Conditions Report – Tuesday, 19 December 2023
The information provided is a summary of reports from operational staff and is intended to give a general indication of typical conditions in each area at a point in time. It is not intended to imply that any individual route is entirely snow and ice free and drivers must be aware that conditions can change rapidly and make their own assessment of conditions for travelling.

Highland Road Conditions Reports for Tuesday, 19 December 2023 are as follows:
Skye and Raasay
08:27 – Positive road temperatures, No winter action and no known overnight issues.
Lochaber
08:26 – No known issues overnight. Wet and windy conditions.
Badenoch and Strathspey
06:15 – Temperatures higher than forecast. Primary and Secondary routes being treated throughout the area. Wet roads and no known overnight issues.
Caithness
08:06 – Main roads all treated as precaution, side roads in the Watten area & Dunbeath area patches frost in sheltered areas, no issues reported.
Sutherland
07:15 - Temperatures higher than forecast, wet and damp roads throughout with a light frost on the top of Struie hill which was treated accordingly.
Inverness
06:35 – No known issues overnight, positive temperatures. Roads dry and damp.
Nairn
06:27 - Temperatures higher than forecast. Damp roads on lower ground and wet roads on high routes. Primary and Secondary routes being treated as a precaution on higher ground. No known overnight issues.
